CES at Las Vegas

This campaign video was created solely because we're
30 million strong, very disappointed consumers.

HERE'S WHY:

A Visual Music Project (VMP) Campaign on a mission to educate those to create access to music videos or live events for deaf and hard of hearing consumers. It begins NOW! We promote equal access through partnership. Enjoy the video in American Sign Language! It's music for everybody. We produced these videos to show the growing needs and the demands for accessibility to music videos and online playback contents.

SO, WE DECIDED TO ATTEND CES TO ACT, AND IT'S HAPPENING...
ONLY TIME WILL TELL...

Check out music videos we can read and relate to:

Jade's appearance on ABC's American Inventor Show!

Jubil, VMP co-partner and Jade attended CES
in Las Vegas, Jan 8-11, 2009.

This excited trip was quite a journey for us with a purpose to
check out the latest technology and network with gadget idols.

Some of the images were borrowed from CES Press
and some of them belongs to MICA/VMP Press.

ASSIMILATE IN A WORLD OF
COOL GADGETS AND TECHNOLOGY AT CES!

A contestant demonstrated his invention,
Livescribe Pulse Smartpen computerized "device"
that records and syncs audio to what you
write, so you never miss a word.

This could the next wave of technology gadget developed for deaf
and hard-of-hearing folks who can use this pen to feed recorded
audio and have it perform audio to text/data translation to read
what others are saying. A speech/audio to text auxiliary aid device
of some sort, worth carrying around in your pocket/bag at
your rescue. Who needs pen and paper to communicate?

Looks like a vehicle batman could ride in with all them

More cars show!

Do they really need all that power to blast music in them cars?
I just don't get it. I don't.

Some day, those exposed to loud music will be buying my
products, especially if they love music as much as I do.

HERE'S WHY.

Listening to loud music a lot can cause the same kind of damage, especially if headphones are used. Some famous musicians have lost hearing and developed tinnitus — a real problem for someone who needs to hear to make and enjoy music. That's why now you might notice that some of your favorite musicians wear hearing protection while they're playing.

I'm going to be realistic here. If the noise around you is so loud that you have to shout to be heard, there is a chance that the mechanism inside your ear can be injured. Imaging having to shout often to be heard? (An often misconception many ignorant hearing people do to shout so the deaf can hear.)

That's why, as a deaf person with a severe-to-profound hearing loss, I am developing products not just for deaf and hard-of-hearing people, but those who can benefit from products where they can 'read' music visually in a moderate tone. There's another way one can appreciate music. I believe many people are in denial because they do not want to accept it. So be it. I say, "welcome to my world, you'll see." The next generation of music and rave of technology revolution is yet to come. I'll be there for that. Will they be ready? I wonder...

Monster Booth is all about cars and audio system.

Microsoft Booth

CES attendees get their game on with Microsoft Xbox 360.

Jade won an Xbox Elite 360 Game and Zune 8 GB MP3 player
at a ballot drawing from Microsoft Booth. Who thought I'd win
anything out of 100,000 attendees! I got lucky!
Thanks to the people at Microsoft!

I don't do games. I'd rather invest my time in the
creative department producing art, 'gaming' life, and
advocating for accessibility, which is pretty much
sufficiently addictive. So, I gave away the Xbox 360.

Ah, close-up!

A Fashionable Zune Product on display for you!
Yes, for YOU, but not for US. HELLO?!

I want a product I can 'read' music/video from!
When are the MP3 players makers gonna get it?

Let me tell you something. I have to applaud HULU.COM
for making an effort to incorporate closed captions on some
of their contents. I do believe many other web companies
will follow this sample. We're still rallying for complete access
from all others to do the same through technology.

Our goal is to spread and spreading awareness that we need more Deaf Talent ® (of Color) in the mainstream movie industry and in   television. That's why as a writer, I am producing a movie by us and about us because nobody is going to do it for us. We want to attract media attention and let the   world know what we are trying to do. We're very tired of being overlooked and not having our voices heard.    (See  press release  from 2012) We're planning a Deaf Talent® Movement for change in film and TV by using hashtags support  #DEAFTALENT®, #POCDEAFTALENT, #DEAFBLACKFILM, #DEAFERSITY, or #DEAFTALENTSOFCOLOR  to spread   awareness and representation about our film, The Double Life of Zhane Rain, written by first Black Deaf Filmmaker, Ann

The Co-option of Deaf Talent® Movement (2012)©

The  Deaf Talent ®  Movement, founded by the first Black Deaf Filmmaker/Activist,  Jade Bryan  in 2012, is a social and cultural icon centralized on  spreading awareness  about the lack of representation of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) in television and film. However, Black Deaf actors, writers, producers, and Black Deaf stories are the most overlooked in getting recognition in film and television. This movement began on multiple online and real-life platforms, starting with social media. Jade Bryan created a social media platform by using Twitter and Facebook to spread awareness of the need for better representation in television and film before moving her movement to the streets. (See press release from 2012) A close-knit of Black and POC Deaf Activists from the Deaf community and actors cast in Jade Bryan’s film, The Shattered Mind , (formerly known as The Double Life of Zhane Rain ), met up and campaigned in the streets. The movement lasts for several weeks from
