Haute Contour by Spanx

"I never dreamed visible panty lines and uncomfortable thongs
would inspire me to become an inventor." - Sara Blakely

Creator/Founder and sharp business woman of SPANX, Sara Blakely, who invented the footless panty hose, is now 7 months pregnant! Many congratulations to Sara on her success, much more and a new baby on the way!

Jade, who is also a driven entrepreneur, film/fashion show producer, inventor, gadgets lover, and fashionista admires a good successful story about people like Sara Blakely, a consumer-turned entrepreneur who created products for women.

This is a formula one should follow (to not settle for a product that you aren't happy with,) but to improve it or invent better products to satisfy consumers. What an inspiring story by Sara Blakely.

Sara was one of the judges for the ABC's hit show American Inventor , where Jade advanced to the top 3 finalist for New York. It was such a treat to see Sara again in person at Saks Fifth Ave for the launch of her new collection, Haute Contour by Spanx!

Sara Blakely, founder of the universally recognized shapewear SPANX, made a personal appearance to launch Haute Contour by SPANX, a sumptuous collection of lingerie-inspired looks designed to shape and enhance one’s body.

My lovely people.

Spanx lingerie would fit sensually on
Jubil, an aspiring model with her natural, good look.

It's all about comfort, fit, feeling sexy,
embracing and shaping the body.

Sara also remembers Maleni from the show while
Jubil interprets for Maleni and Sara.

Sara's husband Jess Itzler, co-founder of MarquisJet.

Such a small world to learn that Jess is co-partner with founder/CEO, Kenny Dichter, who was the conference keynote speaker at the NYU Entrepreneurship Conference 2006. The event, held at New York University's Stern School of Business in Greenwich Village, drew a crowd of about 1,200 on April 22. As an alumna of Tisch School of the Arts, with a BFA degree in film production, I find myself attending entrepreneurship conferences because I want to learn about the trades and listen to how other successful entrepreneurs made their dreams come true. Not everyone went to a business school. So, the conference gives all the skills and resources, with actual case studies, to have a successful business.

Anyway, Kenny's keynote rocked the house and was indeed very inspiring. I find it remarkable uplifting hearing how Kenny started out selling T-shirts during college at sports events, and now owns Marquis Jet. What an ambitious guy with big dreams!

Like Sara, I appreciate hearing about those who are self-made entrepreneurs.

ABOUT SARA BLAKELY
Nine years ago, Sara Blakely began her mission to make the world a better place, one butt at a time. A frustrated (yet fashionable) consumer-turned-entrepreneur, Sara invented SPANX Footless Pantyhose and single-rearendedly revolutionized the hosiery industry. Obsessed with creating comfortable, slimming garments that minimize figure flaws, Sara reinvented shape-wear with innovative designs and smart features and won the hearts of fashion-loving women, from Oprah Winfrey to Gwyneth Paltrow.

  1. I wear the HUE cool contour footless slimmer leggings as pants and I am the happiest man alive now! I am 150 pounds at 5 feet 10 inches. They are pretty much not see through in a size 3, very light, smooth and slippery and comfortable. The waist band area needs to be a bit tighter but otherwise the product is great! More colors would be great! I would love white, yellow, red, orange and navy blue.

The  Deaf Talent ®  Movement, founded by the first Black Deaf Filmmaker/Activist,  Jade Bryan  in 2012, is a social and cultural icon centralized on  spreading awareness  about the lack of representation of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) in television and film. However, Black Deaf actors, writers, producers, and Black Deaf stories are the most overlooked in getting recognition in film and television. This movement began on multiple online and real-life platforms, starting with social media. Jade Bryan created a social media platform by using Twitter and Facebook to spread awareness of the need for better representation in television and film before moving her movement to the streets. (See press release from 2012) A close-knit of Black and POC Deaf Activists from the Deaf community and actors cast in Jade Bryan’s film, The Shattered Mind , (formerly known as The Double Life of Zhane Rain ), met up and campaigned in the streets. The movement lasts for several weeks from
