We have launched another blog! Check out Socialtainment Exclusive!

FINALIST OF ABC'S AMERICAN INVENTOR SEEKING FUND FOR VIBROTOUCH™ EQUIVALENT TO BEATS BY DRE FOR PEOPLE WITH HEARING LOSS.

"There's this one song, you listen to over and over, and you experience a moment of nostalgia that uplifts your mood. We want to experience the same thing through sight and touch."  - Ann Marie "Jade" Bryan

My name is Ann Marie Bryan, aka Jade. I'm an independent filmmaker/inventor/producer living in New York. I have a hearing loss. We're seeking donation, endorsement, sponsorship or partnership collaboration to develop a prototype, VESTIBEATS VIBROTOUCH™, which is a ready-to-wear, feel-the-music gear. Not only do we want to develop a physical product, we also want to develop a sight and touch music empire never been done before called ASLTunes™, which is a music video store online subscription incorporated in American Sign Language (ASL) or visual captions for those who can't hear music or lyrics.

Unfortunately, there's still an ongoing misconception that deaf people do not appreciate music. As you know the Americans love the technological revolution. Technology inspires, motivates, educates, entertains and disappoints some of us. Each time there’s a new emerging technology or some cool product, the developers think that they finally developed something for those who need it the most. We often feel neglected or taken for granted. We lacks ACCESS TO MUSIC. Therefore, I have found the perfect solution for that, and in order to implement this project, I need to raise $100,000 to get started. Please view the 2nd video found below what we plan to do with that money.

WILL YOU HELP FUND OUR PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT?

VESTIBEATS VIBROTOUCH™ is not your average piece of technology, but is the latest innovative, hip, fashionable, and trendy design, which is a wireless ready-to-wear feel-the-music technology with multifunction components that work with any MP3 Player or portable gadgets.

WHO IS THIS PRODUCT FOR?
It’s for everyone!  Of course, the VESTIBEATS VIBROTOUCH™ products will be more favorable to a community of 36 million-plus underserved and overlooked sign-language consumers, post-op Cochlear Implant recipients, late-deafened, those born deaf who never heard music in their lives, and those with deteriorating hearing loss all across America.  There is no product out there in the market being developed for them yet.  Please keep in mind that VESTIBEATS VIBROTOUCH™ products are not limited just to us!  If you like thumbing beats, then this is for you!  I can see the urban community, youth, technology geeks, gadget lovers, athletes, gamers, and musicians ordering my product.

The Co-option of Deaf Talent® Movement (2012)©

The  Deaf Talent ®  Movement, founded by the first Black Deaf Filmmaker/Activist,  Jade Bryan  in 2012, is a social and cultural icon centralized on  spreading awareness  about the lack of representation of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) in television and film. However, Black Deaf actors, writers, producers, and Black Deaf stories are the most overlooked in getting recognition in film and television. This movement began on multiple online and real-life platforms, starting with social media. Jade Bryan created a social media platform by using Twitter and Facebook to spread awareness of the need for better representation in television and film before moving her movement to the streets. (See press release from 2012) A close-knit of Black and POC Deaf Activists from the Deaf community and actors cast in Jade Bryan’s film, The Shattered Mind , (formerly known as The Double Life of Zhane Rain ), met up and campaigned in the streets. The movement ...
