Lack of BIPOC Interpreters at Tribeca Film Festival for the Masterclass: The Future of Representation panel

I created my thoughts on my iPhone note for the interpreters so they enunciated exactly what I needed to say. I asked for Black interpreters for the Masterclass: The Future of Representation panel. No disrespect to the interpreters they assigned, but they gave us two white interpreters for this specific panel.

Sign Nexus Interpreting and Tribeca, I am calling you out. I am dead serious about this. Let's work together - either by growing your list of BIPOC interpreters or by collaborating with Deaf Talent Media & Entertainment Consulting. It's imperative that we listen to the requests of our deaf clients and participants, as cultural representation and nuances are paramount.

THE PANEL TOPIC IS ABOUT REPRESENTATION! HELLO?!
